The following packages are currently available in the repository.
If you don't know how to install the packages please read the
relevant part of the FAQ.
Currently Octave-Forge is divided into seperate repositories
- Main repository contains packages that
are well tested and suited for most users.
- Extra packages contains packages that
for various reasons aren't suited for everybody.
- Native Translation packages contains packages of
translations of the help strings of octave.
- Non-free packages contains packages
that have license issues. Usually the packages themselves are
Free Software that depend on non-free libraries.
For convenience, all of the packages below are available
as a single file.
This file is not however an octave package and the individual
packages it contains must be installed separately
These packages are meant for versions of Octave later than version
2.9.12. For earlier versions of Octave, please use the older
monolithic releases of Octave-Forge.
Main repository
The Octave-forge ANN package wraps the ANN library, which provides data structures and functions for computing exact and approximate nearest neighbors on an arbitrarily high dimensional point set.
Audio recording, processing and playing tools.
The package contains code used to benchmark speed of Octave.
Bioinformatics manipulation

Algorithms for smoothing noisy data
These are bindings that allow SQL queries and other database operations on postgres, mysql, sqlite, and standard ODBC databases from within Octave. A simplified interface that is uniform across all database types is provided, as well as the entire C client API for each database (libpq, libmysqlclient, etc).
Econometrics functions including MLE and GMM based techniques.
On supported architectures, change the rounding mode of the floating point arithmetics (to nearest, up, down, to zero) or change the precision of the arithmetical operations (single, double, double extended). Experimentally test the properties of the floating point arithmetics.
